Why did Nayantara back out of Lingusamy’s Paiya?

Why did Nayantara back out of Paiya? Director Lingusamy, who’s bowled over by the actress’ performance in ‘Yaardi Nee Mohini” had decided to cast her in Paiya for an astronomical amount of one crore rupees. But, the recession hadn’t even spared the film industry with the director unable to afford such a sky high investment. Nayan wasn’t very amused with the slash in her fee and immediately backed out. Now, we hear that Tamanna has landed this plum role and will star opposite actor Karthi.
