The ace director Balu Mahendra has created a stir. His remark that the duets are to be done away with in a film has created mayhem. The director was attending an audio launch for the film Varnam and had a few points to clear. Balu Mahendra said that he never “implied” that duets should be kept out of a film. He still believes in the old formula of a duet to take the story further. Well, looks like the director is not too happy with the films which Kollywood is churning out these days, huh?
